Képaláírás: The Palatinus blocks, a bunch of more or less white buildings north to Margit híd on the Pest side of the Danube - planned by Emil Vidor, and constructed in 1909. It is less known that Vidor (1867-1952), a very influential and talented Hungarian architect in the first decades of 20th century who has at least two dozens of significant/outstanding constructions around Budapest, also planned a building south to the bridge, which was heavily injured during WWII, and has been reconstructed as the modernist "Fehér ház", headquarters of the Communist party for more than 30 years, now serving as the office building for the near-by Parliament.
