Képaláírás: Szabadság szobor (Liberty Memorial) at top of Gellérthegy, highest point of Budapest centre. It had been conceived by Zsigmond Kisfaludi-Strobl and was erected in the spring of 1947 as an hommage to the 1944-45 activity of the Soviet Red Army in Hungary. After 1989 some ornaments and minor statues were removed from the memorial, but it remained a strong and stressed symbol of Budapest.
The walls are belonging to Citadella, a military forest built in the 19th century, nowadays a sight and spot for tourism.
Ismertető szöveg: A Szabadság szobor a Gellért-hegy tetején Budapest központjának legmagasabb pontja.
